Handmade patchwork quilt - The Village Pond
This quilt with it's bright, cheerful design, is perfect as a bed cover, play mat, wall hanging or for snuggling under on the sofa whilst watching telly or reading a book! The main fabrics feature ducks, lillies, blossom and a duck pond at the heart of village life. The quilt is truly unique as I have blended these fabrics with beautiful colours from an array of other design houses. The white framework creates a crisp look and makes great use of rescued egyptian cotton. The wadding is super cosy but very thin so it is light on a bed and folds up really small for carriage or storage .
The quilt is made in my Cornish studio personally by me, using British family business, Lewis and Irene fabric in The Village Pond design. It measures 1676 x 1295mm (5'5" x 4'3") The backing is pink and white polka dot with a grey, hand stitched binding.
